The Regina 2014 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) Host Society Board of Directors Chair Vice-Chief Edward Lerat has announced that Ron Crowe will step in as interim CEO for Regina 2014 NAIG.
Vice-Chief Lerat says Ron comes with the experience of 25 years of senior executive and political experience.
"These are the qualities the Board of Directors require for the planning and lead up to this summer's Games July 20th to 27th here in Regina."
Ron Crowe will remain as interim CEO while an independent investigation of harassment allegations against the current CEO is conducted. A decision on that will be made by the Regina 2014 NAIG Board of Directors once they receive the report and recommendations from the investigation.
Regina 2014 NAIG will host the athletes and teams from 26 regions in North America's Indigenous communities as they compete in 15 different sports. It will celebrate and share North American Indigenous cultures through a showcase of language, tradition, art, song, dance and ceremonies. The theme of the Regina 2014 North American Indigenous Games is "Raising the Bar" and we will do this by exhibiting youth excellence in sports and culture.
