It is with heartache the family of Raelene Marie Waskewitch announce her passing on Friday, July 10, 2026, in the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 45 years.

Raelene was predeceased by her father, Herman Moyah (2021); maternal grandparents, Augustus (Papa) Waskewitch (2003) and Maria (Mama) Waskewitch (2014); and paternal grandparents, Cecelia Moyah and Sylvestre Cardinal; her brother, Lorne Moyah (2024).

Raelene is survived by her children, Riley Waskewitch, Leandra Waskewitch (Noah), Kreshell Waskewitch, Patrick Waskewitch (Stacey), Ranayah Waskewitch (Ethan), Grayson Waskewitch-Peck, Alora Waskewitch-Peck; mother, Lorna Waskewitch (Darcy); longtime partner Danny Peck; numerous sisters, brothers, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunties & uncles.

Raelene was born to Lorna Waskewitch and Herman Moyah in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan on May 20, 1981. Raelene had a childlike spirit, she loved coloring, drawing, customizing dolls, fashion, fairies, mermaids and watching cartoons. She had a heart full of love, she was always joking and laughing with friends and family. Raelene had some struggles throughout her life, but she always overcame them and was a very strong, resilient woman who her children looked up to. She is very loved and will be missed deeply.

Raelene’s Wake will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the Onion Lake Communiplex, Onion Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Onion Lake Communiplex, Onion Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.
