Ernest Angus

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, Ernest Gabriel Ernest passed away suddenly in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan at the age of 51 years.

Ernest was a very caring and humble man; he always had a big smile/handshake and hug for you. He loved his children very much and spends time when he can and is very proud of his grandson. He spends and makes time for family and friends. He enjoyed his hobbies and was very talented in everything he’s done. Ernest loved making dream catchers and making his friends and family drawings and paintings. Our brother was a kindhearted man who would give the shirt off his back for you. He took care of those around him. He was a jokester and loved to make you laugh. He will be dearly missed by his children, family, and friends.

Ernest Angus is survived by his common-law wife Arlene Sakaskooch; daughters Adrienne and Gabrielle; son Ashton; grandson Kario; sisters Freda Angus, Irene (Frank) Kytwayhat, Mabel Angus, Doris Angus-McNab (Ernie), ShirleyAnne (Terry) Dubios; brothers Robert (Karen) Angus, Bruce Smith, Jayson, Gilbert (Norma) Chesson; half-brother Joe Blueeyes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.

Ernest is predeceased by his mother Rose Angus; father John Pierce Matchee; grandmother Myria Weasel; grandfather, John Sr. Angus; step-grandfather Harvey Kapeepatow; brothers Johnny and Renee; brother-in-law Woody McNab; sister Maryanne Demarias; sister in-law Hazel Angus; Aunts Maryanne Kapeepatow and Betty Matchee; uncles James Angus, John Angus, Vernon Kapepatow and Peter Kapeepatow; nephews Trent Weasel and Dedrick Stick; and nieces Alicia Angus, Donna Angus, Raylene Angus, and Alberta Rose Angus.

A Wake began at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Simon and Alma Kytwayhat Memorial Community Hall. MSFN, SK.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Simon and Alma Kytwayhat Memorial Community Hall. MSFN, SK.
