Charity "Zombie" run raises funds for inner city clinic

Student Wellness Initiative Toward Community Health (SWITCH) hosted their first annual 5K Zombie Run this weekend in order to raise funds for the organization. This fundraiser was incredibly fun and was a great success for SWITCH!
The Zombie Run took place on Sunday October 19 on the University of Saskatchewan campus and along Meewasin Valley Trail.
Although zombie runs have been occurring for years in many other cities, this was the first one hosted in Saskatoon! Runners had the opportunity to run five kilometers, while avoiding several zombies as they strove to finish the race with their life flags. The event was entirely organized by student volunteers at SWITCH.
SWITCH provides after-hours health services, as well as counseling, physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, traditional healing, nutritional education and outreach. It is funded in part through community donations.
