Posted Jun 29, 2026 | 10:01 AM

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Callen Mark Wallace Parenteau, who passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, at the young age of 14 years.

Callen was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He had a deep love for life and lived each day with enthusiasm, kindness, and an adventurous spirit. Callen loved with his whole heart, shared a smile that could light up any room, and had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome and valued.

Being outdoors was where Callen felt most at home. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting, finding peace and happiness in nature. He also had a passion for soccer and loved spending time on the field with teammates and friends. Whether he was casting a line, exploring the outdoors, or playing the sport he loved, Callen embraced every opportunity to make memories and enjoy life to the fullest.

Though his time with us was far too short, Callen leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever by his family, friends, teammates, and all whose lives he touched. His loving heart, infectious smile, and adventurous spirit will never be forgotten.

Callen will be deeply missed and forever loved by his Mother Megan Parenteau; Siblings Jaycee Moccasin, and Jaymes Moccasin; Maternal Grandparents Mark Parenteau and Gloria Potrias (Darren); Paternal Grandparents Shannon and Wayne Frenchman, Leo Moccasin and Doris Gouda; Aunt Kristin (Josh); Uncles Shane (Shayna), Ethan, and Noah; His First Love Kayleah Stanley; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Callen is predeceased by his Two Dads Catlin Frenchman and Blaine Moccasin.

Callen’s Wake will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Saulteaux First Nation, Saskatchewan

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in Saulteaux Arena, Saulteaux First Nation, Saskatchewan.
