Two women killed now one youth male and one man face charges

Over the weekend, RCMP responded to two calls for service in both instances a women was killed and a male suspect was charged.

Sunday morning at approximately 4 a.m., Indian Head RCMP received a report of a shooting at a residence in Wolseley.

Officers located an injured woman, who was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

She was identified as 18-year-old Keilia Windigo from Wolseley.

A youth male was arrested at the scene.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes investigated and the youth from the Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation was charged with manslaughter as well as other firearm and weapons related charges.

He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Monday.

Almost 12 hours later at approximately 5 p.m., the Rose Valley RCMP received a report of an injured person at a residence on the Yellow Quill First Nation.

Officers located the adult female who was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

She has been identified as 24-year-old Terrance Tony-Kishayinew from Yellow Quill First Nation.

An adult male was arrested at the scene in relation to her death.

The investigation determined he had assaulted a second adult individual, who did not report injuries to police.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has charged 26-year-old Cole Smokeyday from Yellow Quill First Nation with second-degree murder, as well as, assault and uttering threats.

He is to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday.
