Did you vote in the last federal election?
I have voted in all
the elections. I learned the importance of voting from my Dad and Mom, and I
have exercised that right for as long as I remember. My Dad who was a
big influence on the issue of voting, otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have been
so keen.
Will you be voting in this election?
I will be voting on
Oct 19/15… unfortunately I missed the advance polls this weekend.
What is the most important issue to you this election?
Treaty Rights. There
are many issues of importance to me as a First Nations person, from education
and employment and MMIW&Gs, however the most important issue would still
remain protection of Treaties and Treaty Rights.
Why is it important for Indigenous people to vote?
It is important for
Indigenous people to vote in a government that will have excellent rapport with
First Nations of Canada.
